Information about Graz
|
Graz is Austria's second largest city with a total of about 250,000 inhabitants and is situated in the province of Styria. It is famous for Europe's best maintained old part of town and nominated World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. Graz is also an important centre for economy, science and cultural activities, offering many things to do and to visit.
Some say Graz is a cosmopolitan cultural hub with ultra-modern exhibition sites. Others claim that it is above all a historical city with long-established, cherished cultural traditions and excellent classical museums. Well, maybe the Cultural Capital Graz is both.
